Adrak wali Chai and Pakode - Biggest craving of the rainy season 

Rainy season me chai pakode nahi khaye to maza nahi aata.  Mast barish gir rahi ho, chai ubal rahi ho aur pakode tal ja rahe ho toh ek perfect mahaul ban jata hai.  Aur is mahaul ko aap bhi recreate kariye is recipe ke saath

Pesh hai Pyaaz Hari mirch, dhania ke pakode with adrak wali chai. 


Ingredients and Method of Pakode:
  • One medium size onion slices 
  • One hari mirchi (green chilli) chopped finely 
  • 2 tablespoon of chopped dhania 
  • 1 cup besan 
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon of til 
  • 1/2 teaspoon of dhania jeera powder
  • Pinch of haldi and hing 
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Kashmiri chilli powder 
  • 1 teaspoon of oil in the batter 
  • Water to adjust the consistency 
  • Oil for frying 

Method:
  • Chop the onion, put green chilli, dhania leaves and all the spices. Now mix all well and let the onion get nicely coat with spices. Heat the oil in a frying pan 
  • Add besan to the onion mix and water. 
  • Don't add too much much water you should be able to make Pakode
  • Add one teaspoon of hot oil to the Pakode batter and mix all well
  • Start frying on medium to high flame till golden brown

Ingredients and Method of Adrak wali Chai:
  • When it comes to chai making everyone has their own preference so here is my version: 
  • In a pan put 5 to 6 fresh lemon grass (gavti chai green in colour) and 1 small piece of ginger
  • Crush both, add one teaspoon of sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of chai masala (optional) half cup water and boil it. 
  • Once you start getting the fragrance of ginger and lemon grass add 1 teaspoon of chai Patti and boil it 
  • Add milk half cup and give it final boil and serve hot
