Barish me banaye Aloo Pakora/Bhaji aur Chai 

Barish me Aloo Pakode/Bhaji aur Chai is like match made in heaven. In the evening when its raining pamper yourself by making garam garam chai and quick Aloo Pakora to get that relaxing feeling. Don't forget to on your favourite music. 


Ingredients of Aloo Pakora/Bhaji: 

- 1.5 cup of potatoes slices 
- 1 cup of besan 
- 2 tablespoon of rice flour 
- 1/2 teaspoon of red chilli powder 
- Pinch of haldi
- Pinch of hing 
- Pinch of baking soda 
- 1/2 teaspoon of carom seeds (Ajwain)
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon of oil
- Oil for deep frying 


Method of Aloo Pakora/Bhaji:
- Slice the potatoes with the slicer
- Heat small amount of oil for deep frying
- In a bowl add 1 cup of besan,  2 tablespoon of rice flour, 1/2 teaspoon of red chilli powder, Pinch of haldi,  Pinch of hing, 1/2 teaspoon of carom seeds (Ajwain), Salt to taste
- Add water slower, whisk till you get smooth batter of pakora. Now add baking soda, hot oil (1 teaspoon)
- Put the potato slices in the besan batter and deep fry them on a medium flame

Ingredients and Method of Adrak wali Chai:
  • When it comes to chai making everyone has their own preference so here is my version: 
  • In a pan put 5 to 6 fresh lemon grass (gavti chai green in colour) and 1 small piece of ginger
  • Crush both, add one teaspoon of sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of chai masala (optional) half cup water and boil it. 
  • Once you start getting the fragrance of ginger and lemon grass add 1 teaspoon of chai Patti and boil it 
  • Add milk half cup and give it final boil and serve hot
