- Tadka of yellow Idli – 1 teaspoon of oil, some mustard seeds, jeera and hing
- Coconut and dhania leaves for garnish
Method:
- Take two bowl – In one soak besan, with pinch of haldi with half cup dahi and some water
- In another bowl soak Rava, rice flour with half cup dahi/curd and some water
- Soak this for at least 30 mins.
- Heat the steamer and grease the Idli moulds
- Now take the two batters equally divide 1.5 teaspoon of ginger green chilli paste and add salt.
- Mix well add 2 pinch of baking soda in each of the batter, on top of it add 1 tablespoon of oil and hot water around 1 tablespoon
- The batter consistency should be like the Idli so don’t add too much water
- Pour the besan batter in one level of Idli stand and pour Rava batter in another level
- Steam it for 20 mins
- For the besan Idli make the tadka in following way:
- Heat the oil, add some mustard seeds, jeera and hing and pour it on besan Idli
- Serve both the Idli hot with beetroot soup
