Healthy Munching during Navratri 2022
Majority follows fasting ritual for the 9 days of the Navratri. Fasting with just fruits and milk is followed by some, some prefers eating only once in a day. But there are many of us who have busy lifestyles and prefer eating fasting food to keep us going throughout the day. Follow what best suits to you and whatever are your home customs. Every home has certain fasting rules and you can easily know them from the elders of your house.
Today onwards for next 9 days I will try to share easy fasting recipes which can be enjoyed during different times of the day. The first in the series is a healthy munching of Ghee Roasted Makhana with dry fruits and Pudina wali Chai. Now you can enjoy this tomorrow morning or as an evening snack. Choice is yours. But I personally feel rather than eating fried Aloo chips or fried Sabudana Chivda eat the superfood Makhana and Dry Fruits. Dry fruits many a times people avoid with the fear of putting on weight. But please note we are just adding few in these and these with makhana are good source of nutrients.
Pudina or mint chai is the speciality of Nathdwara situated near Rajasthan. Pudina leaves are added to chai to give nice refreshing flavour to the chai. If you have pudina leaves then do give a try to this chai. Note if you are not the fan of pudina you won't like it.
Ghee Roasted Makhana with Dry fruits

- 1 teaspoon of ghee (You can use oil too ghee gives a rich taste)
- 4 almonds and 4 cashew (you can take walnut and pista as well)
