3 in 1 Pizza Flavour Rava Appe topped with Cheese, Chutney and Ketchup

Pizza is absolute favourite across ages but making it at home can be tedious and calls for use of Maida, lots of cheese and lots of calories. In a age and time when you can easily order Pizza with all the attractive discounts from several Pizza outlets try this dish. This is Rava Appe with the Pizza flavour i.e. veggies sautéed in pizza seasoning and cooked in few drops of oil. To make it more yummy just top it with cheese, chutney and ketchup 


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Rava
  • 1/2 cup rice flour or white dhokla flour (any one you have add)
  • 1/2 cup dahi
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 chopped tomato
  • 1 chopped capsicum 
  • 1 teaspoon of mixed herbs (Used in Pizza which has basil, oregano)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of chilli flakes (If you like spicy add more)
  • 2 tablespoon of oil
  • Water to adjust the consistency
  • Pinch of baking soda 
  • 1 cheese cube 
  • Green chutney and ketchup for garnish 

Method:

  • In a big bowl add Rava, rice flour or white dhokla flour, dahi and water 
  • Soak this together and ferment it for 40 mins 
  • In the meantime chop onion, tomato and capsicum 
  • Heat the oil in a pan add the veggies 
  • Add mixed herbs and chilli flakes and cook on low flame for 4 to 5 mins 
  • Now add salt, water to the Rava batter 
  • Add the cooked veggies and mix well
  • Lastly add pinch of baking soda, a drop of oil on top of it and give it one mix 
  • Heat the Appe Pan, add few drops of oil and pour the Rava batter
  • Rava batter should have Idli batter type consistency. Don't make it too water or too thick 
  • Cook the Appe on a low flame on both sides
  • Serve it in a plate and top it with cheese, chutney and ketchup
